The Schäferhalle, a pavilion on the western slope of the Eschweger Leuchtberg complex, was built in 1913 according to the plans of the then city architect Großklaus.
It commemorates Gustav Schäfer (born 1859 in Eschwege, died 1906 in Göttingen), the son of a wealthy leather manufacturer who donated a large sum of money to his hometown for charitable and charitable purposes in his will. At least a very nice one

In memory of Gustav Schäfer (born 1859, died 1906 in Göttingen), this pavilion was built in 1913 according to plans by the city architect Großklaus.
Gustav Schäfer, son of a wealthy leather manufacturer, donated 280,000 Reichsmarks to his hometown of Eschwege for charitable purposes in his will. As a thank you, this classicist temple was built in one of his favorite places near the "Schiller-Linde". The building was renovated in 1994.
