Mattemburgh is one of the most special estates in Brabant and located in a place where the high sandy soils merge into the much younger marine clay soils. The history of Mattemburgh Estate goes back to the time of French rule, when Mr. P.J. Cuypers bought the land. The garden was constructed in several phases in the period 1843-1878: first the English garden around the villa, later the courtyard and then the beautiful French garden with Orangery. The Fürst-Pucklerbed, the flower bed for the villa, is the only one in the Netherlands!
Guided walks take place regularly on the estate and in the villa.
You can walk around the estate in style and dine in the former orangery!
