Alternative to the "classic" route across the fields.
Except for the stretch next to the motorway feeder, it is also quite shady and a little less cyclists and pedestrians than on the other route.
The last stretch towards Ettlingen (along the Erlengraben) is quite narrow, drive carefully there.

The section next to the motorway slip road is really not nice. And I don't really feel at home on the road through the Weiherwald (although most of the time I'm 50). The asphalt isn't great there either.
Nevertheless, the path is a sensible alternative if the path across the fields is, as expected, full of walkers and slow cyclists.

Perfectly suitable for road bikes. Good to very good asphalt, no cars.
