From this tower you have a fantastic view over the Rhine-Main plain. In clear weather you can see as far as Darmstadt and further.
Climbing the tower is not for everyone. The landings are all covered in gratings, and when you walk up the tower starts to sway slightly. You notice it even more at the top of the platform. We like that :-).

Steel observation tower on the Kapellenberg. When visibility is good, you can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view. From the Großer Feldberg over the Frankfurt skyline to the Spessart, the Odenwald and the Rhine Graben. To the north, the view extends into the Lorsbach valley as far as Eppstein, to the west you can only see as far as the next hill with Langenhain. At the foot of the tower is a restaurant with a beer garden and playground.

Addendum Feb. 2025: From summer 2025, the forest restaurant at the Meisterturm will be closed and demolished. A new building will then follow. It remains to be seen whether and how the tower will then still be accessible or accessible. In any case, construction site traffic must be expected.
The restaurant has a website, by the way. You can find out there exactly when they will close.

After the renovation work, the tower will also be open during Corona times. Were there on Mondays and all alone upstairs, great view!
