The approximately 125 hectare nature reserve is an important habitat for many endangered bird species. With a bit of luck you can watch cormorants, sea eagles and other impressive birds in the idyllic moor and meadow landscape.

It is not uncommon to see a sea eagle or osprey on the southern observation tower! Wonderful nature! The whole Ilkerbruch can be circumnavigated by bike.
