Where many at Cervières follow the road towards the Col d'Izoard, you turn up at the village and you almost immediately start a climb out of Cervières. During the beautiful climb you have a view of the course of the road of the Izoard and a little later you cycle into the vast valley of Des Fonts. You follow the road along the river through open countryside all the way to the end of the tarmac road. Here lies the small village of Les Fonts de Cervières. At the refuge of the same name you can go for a coffee, snack and drink.
