In 1874 the skeletal impression of the Archeopteryx was found on a stone slab here. The fascinating animal has so far only been discovered in the Altmühltal Nature Park.

The ammonite has always stood here, formerly embedded in an old stone wall. Due to the construction of the roundabout, the ammonite was unattractively placed here so that it would have a nice place on the island of the circle after the roundabout was completed.
