The location is unique: a crystal clear lake, in the background snow-capped mountains, a lush green surroundings and in the middle a historic island with incomparable charm. Lindau's Old Town is situated on an almost 70-hectare island in Lake Constance. With its centuries-old buildings, lively squares and picturesque streets, it exudes an almost Mediterranean flair. Behind the famous harbor entrance with the Bavarian Lion and the new lighthouse, the impressive panorama of the Alps and Lake Constance opens up. On the waterfront, which is considered one of the most beautiful on Lake Constance, one can follow the maritime hustle and bustle in the harbor from one of the many cafes.

Lindau on Lake Constance - the "Bavarian Riviera". Life here is multifaceted, happy, casual, lukewarm. The most famous sight in Lindau as well as on the whole Bodensee is the Lindau harbor entrance. It is the landmark of the city and stands out not least by the six-meter-high lion statue and the new lighthouse in the eye. The new lighthouse is 33 meters high. If you take the 139 steps upwards, you can enjoy a breathtaking panoramic view of the island city, Lake Constance and the Alps.
