A half-timbered church worth seeing, with a long, interesting history that is worth a detour from the tour for a visit.
The farmers in Potzehne used the peace period between the second and third wars to obtain permission from the Prussian King Frederick II (known as the Old Fritz) to build a half-timbered church with a bell tower. This released them from the obligation to go to Jerchel for church services.

The small half-timbered village church is one of the churches on the Reformation cycle path around Gardelegen. On the square with the (somewhat martial) war memorial in front of the church there is a bench to rest. The inn opposite opens on Fridays (as of June 2020, see photos)
