Franz Keller did an incredible job researching the Rosenstein and the surrounding mountains, he examined the caves around the Rosenstein and identified Stone Age settlements on the Rosenstein, he measured caves and excavated them. The Franz-Keller-Haus on the Kalten Feld, the Franz Keller-Weg on the Rosenstein bear his name.
