The Mellenberg in the Volksdorf district of Hamburg, at 63.3 m, is the highest natural elevation in all of northern Hamburg.

It has a round shape, rising approximately twelve meters above the surrounding terrain,
and is a Weichselian glacial terminal moraine that formed at the fork between
the Volksdorf and Meiendorf glacier tongues.

It has been designated a geotope by the Hamburg State Geological Office.

The hill lies at the eastern end of the Volksdorf Forest and is wooded.

It can be reached via several hiking trails. In the 20th century,
an observation tower was built on the hill, which no longer exists.

In addition, a terracotta memorial was erected on the Mellenberg in 1925,
naming the 48 Volksdorf residents who fell in the First World War;

it was destroyed in 1945.
Three streets are named after the mountain: Mellenbergweg in 1903, Mellenbergstieg in 1950, and Mellenbergkamp in 1986, all of which are located in its immediate vicinity.
