The low, thick round tower rose dark and gray from the south-western city wall.
A small door studded with iron bands led to the first floor of the tower.

An evil person who was generally only called the "witch's nose" had hounded until the relatives who were hostile to the young woman accused her of sorcery because her husband was seriously ill.

The Witch Tower is part of a listed building complex at Ernstplatz 12, consisting of a round tower, the attached former Sunday school and a staircase ramp. The core of the two buildings dates back to the inner city wall from the 13th century.
The tower is about 14 meters high and has an outer diameter of 6.5 meters and walls up to 1.6 meters thick.[
