This gravel bypass of the B27 is a short section of the Glück-Auf cycle path, which opened in October 2020, a 36 km long circular cycle path in the old mining area of the Richelsdorf Mountains. The circular route leads via Berneburg, Sontra, Hornel, Weißenhasel, Nentershausen, Solz, Dens and Cornberg.

Unfortunately, this short section is currently in a miserable condition. Washed out, patched with coarse gravel, unworthy of a "cycle path" that is advertised as a tourist attraction - and not everyone rides their mountain bike here. In August 2021, the local press reported that this section is to be fundamentally renovated. A 3-meter-wide asphalt cycle and farm path is being planned. As is so often the case, many years will pass before this happens.

The quality of this bypass has improved a little. Easily rideable for MTBs, trekking bikes should also be able to get over it without any problems, but it will be more difficult for city bikes.
By the way, the construction of a cycle path failed (too much gradient and therefore not worthy of funding from the state of Hesse😠).
