The water tower dates back to 1956 and was renovated in 1989/90. The last concrete renovation in 2019 was carried out while the plant was still in operation. One of the two water chambers at the top always had to remain in use. The concrete was blasted and recoated. According to plant manager Klaus Ritter, the tower has a capacity of 450 cubic meters. This corresponds to the average daily consumption of the connected towns of Berg, Neuburg and Scheibenhardt.
