Very beautiful historic old town with its sandstone houses on the river Geul.
Above the city, on a rock, is the castle ruins of Kasteel Valkenburg.
In the historic city center there are a number of restaurants, cafes and bars in the pedestrian zone where you can also sit outside.
In winter, beautiful Christmas markets take place in two spacious grottos and in the city center.
Absolutely worth seeing!

De Cauberg is a hill, slope and street in the Dutch Limburg municipality of Valkenburg aan de Geul. The Cauberg is mainly known from cycling; the slope has been included in the trail of important championships many times. In addition, there are several important tourist attractions, memorials and national monuments on the Cauberg. The road is part of provincial road 590.
