Baker Beach is a public beach in the Presidio on the peninsula of San Francisco, California. The beach lies on the shore of the Pacific Ocean in the northwest of the city. It is roughly a half mile (800 m) long, the second beach after some cliffs beginning just south of Golden Gate Point (where the Golden Gate Bridge connects with the peninsula), extending southward toward the Seacliff peninsula, the Palace of the Legion of Honor and the Sutro Baths. The northern section of Baker Beach is "frequented by clothing-optional sunbathers" and is considered a nude beach.

Large waves, undertow and rip currents often make the beach unsafe for swimming albeit being crowded on warm summer weekends. It provides panoramic views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Marin Headlands and Lands End. You can fish or check out the shorelife along the beach and rocky shoreline. Restrooms, ample parking and picnic tables are nearby.
