The market town of Kipfenberg is located directly on the Altmühl Panorama Trail and Altmühl Cycle Path, making it an ideal place to stop for a break. In addition to many culinary delights, there is also a rich cultural offering. For example, 2,000 years ago, the Limes (Limes) ran through Kipfenberg, and relics from that era can still be seen today, such as the Limes Tower near Kipfenberg. The Roman and Bavarian Museum at Kipfenberg Castle also offers many exhibits. The Limes Festival, with its large parade, also takes place here. The Kipfenberg Lamb Drive in the fall is also well worth a visit.
