Unmissable site of the region, you can leave from here and stroll along the towpath or in the small woods nearby. If you go up the Vilaine you can cross it a little further and access another great viewpoint in height.

I myself lived in the level crossing of boël (PN 10) it is an extraordinary site I sometimes go back there mountain biking in the heights..a even absolutely.😉🚴🚴

Located in one of the most picturesque sites in the Vilaine valley, the Boël mill takes the form of a ship's bow cutting through the current, which is very strong at this location.

The old lock (16th century) was located between the left bank and the mill.
Built in 1652, it has solid buttresses and originally had two paddle wheels, which have now disappeared.

For Claude Marboeuf, lord of Laillé, the mill built on his properties was a source of income, through the obligation he imposed on his vassals to use it.
In 1886 it became the property of a miller. Wheat continued to be milled there until the war of 14-18.

In 1962, a violent storm damaged the site. The Municipality then focused on its reconstruction in partnership with a Bruz association, “Le Moulin des Apprentis”, then “Les Amis du Boël”.
Currently, the mill is owned by the City of Bruz.
