The neo-Gothic church from 1880 (the foundation stone was laid in 1878) shapes the image of the place and is a Hessian cultural monument. There had been a chapel in the same place since 1482, which was later expanded to include a choir. Because it had become dilapidated and much too small, it was demolished in 1877.

The Protestant church in Langstadt, consecrated on September 19, 1880, is clearly visible from afar with its very high tower. The foundation stone was laid on May 31, 1878. From today's perspective, it was a relatively short construction time for such a large building.
