The "Steinerne Rinne" on the Buchenberg is a remarkable limestone trough, it lies on the northeast slope of the 567 meter high Buchenberg. Stone channels are rare geological phenomena that result from the separation of lime from slowly flowing rivulets, which the Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU) has designated as an important geotope (geotope number: 574R026).
