The German Stadium was designed by Albert Speer for the Nazi Party Rally Grounds in Nuremberg. To test the optimal arrangement of the rows, a model of a row of seats of the German stadium was built on September 9, 1937 on a slope near the village Oberklausen in Hirschbachtal on the Hohe Berg in the original scale.

The northern slope next to the road in Oberklausen is called Stadionberg. He got his name in the 3rd Reich. Hitler wanted to build in Nuremberg next to the Nazi Party Rally Grounds the world's largest stadium with 420,000 seats. Speer, his master of construction, had a 75 m wide and 70 m high model tri-part erected in the Hirschbachtal. The war ended the madness and the Americans blew up the plant on war, so today only remnants of the foundations are visible.
