The Carrera del Darro is one of the most beautiful walks in Granada, open to the right of the Darro, with its small river below, crossed by two brick and stone bridges called Cabrera and Espinosa, which communicate with the Churra neighborhood. , between the river and the forest of the Alhambra, and that of the Almanzora, which extended to the Cuesta de Gomérez.
The current street dates from the s. XVII, in which, due to the damage caused in 1509 by the explosion of a powder keg that was next to the Church of San Pedro and San Pablo, part of the wall that ran here was demolished and the direction of the channel was modified of the river, widening then the street.
