The Herrenkrug Bridge, or the Herrenkrugsteg, was built in 1998 in order to better distribute the rush of visitors to the then Federal Garden Show in the Elbarenpark (at that time the only way was from the south). The Herrenkrugsteg is now a purely pedestrian and bicycle bridge - at the time of the Federal Garden Show, small shuttle buses also drove here (recognizable by the bus lane markings).
