"Introduction to the Rock Chapel
In one of the beautiful places of Miskolctapolca, rich in tourist attractions, in Brassói street, we can find the rock chapel called the Heart of Jesus. The consecration of this lovely place took place in the first half of the twentieth century, exactly in 1935.

The previous year, a monk, a member of the Franciscans, Pius Szabó, born in Transylvania, visited the chapel. He was received by his friend Rudolf Pataky, who was a member of the representative body responsible for the management of the city of Miskolc at that time. Patolfy Rudolf owned the estate called Verebes Farm. Here were caves carved into tuff. These were utilized as sheepfolds at the time. The bishop liked this area. From here, the surrounding mountains provided a beautiful view. This also contributed to the thought that was born in his head, which was primarily that it would be great to turn a stone cave into a chapel that would be great for people visiting here.
