From below the suspension bridge, in sight of German soldiers patrolling the bridge, Norwegian saboteurs worked their way up the steep slope to the power plant, blasting the heavy water production facility and preventing the Nazis from making nuclear weapons. The path of the sabotage tour can be followed interactively in the museum and is highly recommended.
