Honfleur is "in" with artists and not just now, but for two centuries, ever since the first painters came to appreciate the atmosphere and beauty of the place. Everything seems to have sprung from a painter's imagination: the quays with terraces, the special double-roofed church, the cobbled streets, the half-timbered houses and of course the vieux basin, in which the light is reflected. the striking harmony attracts numerous tourists all year round, who come here for a few hours or days. Honfleur has managed to preserve its exceptional architectural heritage without becoming a museum city. good thing, too! (Michelin)

Coming to Honfleur by bike is like stepping into a living postcard. The narrow, cobbled streets lead you straight to the harbor, where the colorful house facades are reflected in the water. This place has inspired artists for centuries - no wonder, because the atmosphere here is like something out of a painting.

Cyclists can cycle along the Vieux Basin, past the inviting terraces and the typical half-timbered houses. A stop at one of the cozy brasseries is a must - mussels and fries are particularly popular here. It is particularly beautiful in the evening, when the lights dance over the water and the city shines in a warm glow.

The ride through the city is a journey through time, and although many tourists visit the place, Honfleur retains its charming and authentic flair.
