The old 'Apeldoornseweg' is the old road connecting Arnhem to Apeldoorn. Nowadays there's the A50 highway next to it, but this old asphalt road is still perfect for road racing quickly but still beautiful from north to south (and the other way around) across the Veluwe.
Riding next to a highway might not sound that great, but you barely notice the highway at all with the green in between and the wind in your ears.

Better to ride on the small cycle path. Difficult to divert from the motorway to the cycle path. Cars often drive fast here.

Nice connecting road. It is difficult that the bicycle lanes are so narrow when it is busy. Just passing it is very difficult, because just passing by the road can easily cause a fall, because of those difficult sandy unpaved parts between the main road and cycle paths.
