The basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore of Siponto is an ancient Romanesque cathedral that stands on the site of the ancient city of Siponto, today part of Manfredonia. Next to the basilica you can admire the remains of an early Christian basilica from the 5th century, rebuilt in wire mesh by the artist Edoardo Tresoldi in 2016.
