The Engelshof will no longer exist as a restaurant. However, some local councils have concerns about future use.
The future of the Engelshof was now the topic at the last meeting of the municipal council in Gessertshausen. When it was published at the end of the year that the couple who owned the Engelshof could no longer operate the forest restaurant for health reasons, it was sad news for many hiking and nature fans. For many decades, the solitary farm in the middle of the western forests has been a stop for many excursionists every weekend.
