The Gurnigel is a great way to get started in the beautiful world of passes. You drive up a steep incline for a long time and you have to pace yourself.
The journey from Bern doesn't take as long as other passes. At the top you are rewarded with a beautiful view of Lake Thun and the surrounding mountains.

Beautiful view on the Gantrisch and the Thun lake. There are restaurants and parking places. Touristic in summer.

A worthy ascent for the stunning views of the Gantrisch and the Thun lake.

There are restaurants up here for a good refuel, but it does get busy in high summer.
