    The Col du Soulor is one of the emblematic passes of the Pyrenees and the Tour de France. This pass, which rises to an altitude of 1,474 meters, also owes its fame to its neighbor, the Col d'Aubisque. Located in the beautiful Ouzom valley, its ascent from the east offers beautiful mountain panoramas. The junction which leads to the Col d'Aubisque forms a wonderful viewpoint over the Litor cirque.

      The two Pyrenean passes are Tour de France legends and are rarely missing in the program of the tour. Beautiful scenery but the view you have to fight for.

        If climbing from Argeles-Gazost, you can avoid the busy and boring main road by either:
        - going via col de Spandelles and Ferrieres, or
        - going via St Savin, Estaing, and col des Borderes.
        You have a bit of extra climbing but quiet roads.

          At the top of the pass there is a beautiful view of the coming kilometers to Aubisque and the surrounding mountains. The ascent from the east can be an intermediate step to the Col d'Aubisque or the end of the tour. A beautiful descent to Lourdes or Pau branches off from the top of the pass. For this road it is even worth driving back from Aubisque to Soulor.

                What a collar! It is quite short, but breaks the legs well. With a nice little wall in the middle and a complicated finish! Mythical. To do and redo as much as possible, but especially in good weather !!

                      The Soulor pass is also beautiful on 3 sides. There are two restaurants at the top that will give you a break. Attention 1 of the two does not take the credit card and the other I have not tested.

                          The Northern side of this col is beautiful to climb and a staggeringly fun descent. Also across the to top to the Aubisque is pretty special.

                            Mythical Pyrenean port that has 2 beautiful aspects:
                            - eastern slope, which starts from Argèles
                            - northern slope, which starts from Ferrières
                            Once crowned you can access the magnificent Litor cirque, through which you reach the Col d'Aubisque.
                            A must for every road cyclist.
