Geomantic field monuments in Petershausen:
Petershausen lies at the center of the power triangle made up of the elements air, earth and fire. In order to deepen the spiritual and cultural relationship between landscape and people, four field monuments were erected in exposed locations according to geomantic criteria. This viewpoint is one of the four field monuments.

The term geomancy comes from Greek and means “spirit of the earth”, it is an ancient doctrine of earth rays, magnetic fields and lines of force. Dowsers used to identify special geomantic places of power for building cathedrals. The approximately 800-year-old lime tree in Obermarbach is another indication of a special place where energy phenomena are concentrated.
