When I'm in the area, the Dalheim mill is always on my to-do list. A beautiful place in the middle of the forest and just a stone's throw from the border with the Netherlands. In the sunshine, the terrace invites you to relax.

"The Dalheimer Mühle is located on the Dutch border. There has been a restaurant in the Dalheimer Mühle since 2001. It came into existence 800 years ago as a monastery mill. Originally it stood even deeper in the forest, but was built in 1775 on behalf of the abbess Maria Anna von Oeyen at her rebuilt to present location.The abbess' coat of arms can be seen above the front door.
The water mill with an undershot water wheel is a tourist restaurant with good gastronomy in the middle of the German-Dutch national park region "De Meinweg". Even the location in the Dalheim Forest is impressive. The Dalheimer Mühle car park is the starting point for regularly offered cycling and hiking tours.
