The Alfeld wind hole is a natural karst cave near Kauerheim. The Alfeld wind hole is also called wind hole near Kauerheim, cave in Schwarzenberg or Schwarzenberg cave. After the Mühlbach spring cave in the Altmühl valley, this cave is the second largest in the Franconian Jura with a total length of around 2200 meters.
