Rich and Linda Henry thought the area somehow lacked a visitor center. But which topic should you focus on? As her daughter's rabbits multiplied rapidly, the direction of the hit was set: a tribute to the Jack Rabbit Trading Post near Joseph City, Arizona.
They copied the famous sign with the rabbit and changed the slogan "Here it is" (here it is) to "Hare it is" (they are rabbits) and the now official roadside attraction was ready. Each rabbit has a name and when it dies it is buried behind the house. On each tombstone there is a brief outline of the life of the past.
In addition to rabbits, there are also trucks with now historical advertising inscriptions, signs and old gas pumps to admire, although the building was never really a gas station. But a really well made replica. Too good, because it took some effort to convince the Environmental Protection Agency that there is no buried gas tank anywhere that could leak over time.
