Route from Engstingen roundabout to Genkingen is a race track for cars and motorbikes and is caustic to cycle. This is an almost car-free alternative from Engstingen: Either the driveway up to the Lichtenstein and at the end of the parking lot turn left towards Kalkofen, there left up to the Nebelhöhle and then before to Genkingen or (one mountain less) parking lot Aufberg (the second parking lot of the roundabout Engstingen on the right) also to lime kiln, fog cave etc. Everything is well paved and suitable for racing bikes. At the weekend always variant 2, because there is a lot going on around the Lichtenstein. It works the other way round, is much nicer than the street and offers wonderful views of Lichtenstein Castle as an additional delicacy.
