The Königsbrunnen is, quite inconspicuous and a little hidden, on the Königsbrunnenweg coming from the Louisa, but interrupted by the Mainbahn, south of the Lerchesberg in the Frankfurt city forest. Easily recognizable in the fountain ring of the Frankfurter Adler, surrounded by the year 1607. It refers to the year in which the fountain was taken. (A detailed description of the fountain is provided by Wilhelm Ott's excellent documentation, “Stones in the Dreieich” .)

To the south-east of the fountain from 1607, practically in sight, you can find the Königsbrünnchen (almost of the same name), a version of four springs on the Königsbach created at the end of the 19th century.

“Königsbrünnchen” is the version of a total of four springs in the Frankfurt city forest created at the end of the 19th century, located about 300 meters north of the Jacobi pond on the Königsbach. A not guaranteed tradition connects the place with the East Franconian King Ludwig III (835-882)
