And don't forget lamps, because it is the longest bicycle tunnel in Germany! Although it is well (!) Illuminated, it is still good to be recognized early by the opposing cyclists during the rapid descent.

The tunnel is open over the winter between 31.10. and 15.4 blocked. The signposted diversion route can only be used to a very limited extent with the racing bike. Alternative routes lead from the Bieberstein train station via Schackau and the top of the pass near Danzwiesen to the Milseburg train station (5.9 km and 240 m ascent) or from the Elters train station via the Steens pass to Steinbach (4.5 km and 160 m ascent).

The drive through the Milseburg Tunnel is a very special highlight 🤩
Very good lighting and sufficiently wide lane 👍
Now pleasantly cool in summer 😅
But I definitely recommend lighting on the bike 🚲 so that you can be seen better

The Milseburg tunnel is no longer the longest bicycle tunnel in Germany.
The Küllstedter Tunnel (Kanonenbahnradweg) is 1,530 meters long.
