The village of Schneebach no longer exists today and probably fell as a result of the Thirty Years' War (as did the surrounding towns of Raupenhain and Obernhain). Thanks to its city walls, Hasselbach got through the turmoil of war better.
This certainly small living space was located in a side valley that ends at the Rumpenmühle on Langenbach.
In winter it is a popular toboggan slope for the village children. The eponymous brook is often dry in summer and only regularly contains water in winter.
