This is the mansion of Gut Deutsch Nienhof, where 2022 stayed for a week in the holiday home called Apfelgarten.
There we took part in a guided tour of the manor house.
The guide was the master of the house.
One of the participants asked about the house spirit and we learned that Count Rantzau is the house spirit.
The Rantzau Forest is near where I live and there is the final resting place of Count Rantzau.
Tip for everyone who follows me on Komoot: Enter Rantzau as a search word. On one of the tours that I occasionally repeat, I took photos of the burial site.

The majority of Deutsch-Nienhof's farmland is used for forestry. The old beech and mixed forest stands have been managed in a natural and sustainable manner for centuries. Proximity to nature also plays a key role in the management of the grassland.

As a founding member of the Association for the Preservation of English Park Cattle, Deutsch-Nienhof consciously preserves old and robust domestic animal breeds and uses them to manage the pastures in accordance with the organic standards of the Naturland Association.
