After about two years of construction, the pedestrian bridge over the Saale was opened on November 26, 2019 by the mayor, Dr. Kania officially opened. Two low pylons hold the slender, suspended prestressed concrete slab structure that spans the Saale with three bridge fields. Only 45 cm panel thickness with a curved position and difficult building ground were a great challenge for the client, the planners, construction companies and construction supervisors.
The most important building parameters are:

    Pylon height: 9.00 m
    Bridge length: 62.00 m
    Bridge width: 2.50 m
    Distance between the pylons: 42.00 m
