(1) Caution - history is very bumpy: I last drove the highlight in early May 2020. The bumpy section was redeveloped. Please be careful anyway.
(2) My recommendation is the direction from Oberzeitlbach to Altomünster. At the top of the highest point you can go from the bike path onto the road and let it run at the exit, then switch right again onto the bike path in the lower part of the exit (since the bike path changes the side of the road, you have to go into the Rise the iron and take out all the momentum.).
At Schauerschorn you have a beautiful view of the Altomünster skyline.

Great bike path between Oberzeitlbach and Altomünster - but be careful, if you drive south (towards Oberzeitlbach), it is really bumpy after a rapid downhill run -> Recommendation: drive really slowly there.
