Tour through the historic old town of Bergneustädter

The tour through the historic old town of Bergneuststadt begins at the Old Town Church, which was built in 1698, the pointed double onion tower is the symbol of the city. The second point is the castle fountain, which is located at the other end of the church square in the southeast and was probably built in the 14th century. Past the old town church, we now go to our third point, the pastorate. After the second city fire in 1942, the building was rebuilt and still serves as a rectory. In the basement of the building there are remains of the former city wall. From the pastorate, go to point 4, the Krawinkel House. The Krawinkelhaus is one of the oldest houses in the old town of Bergneustädte. It is the parent company of the Krawinkel family of manufacturers, who opened the largest knitwear factory in Bergneustadt in the 19th century.

The small, cozy museum of local history in the old town is also worth seeing. Various hiking routes also start from here. And after a short tour of the old town, head to the beautiful beer garden
"Feste Neustadt" at Losemundbrunnen. Here you can linger wonderfully and charge batteries for free.
Sunday evening and Monday is day off!
