    The village Heiligenthal with the village Südergellersen belongs to the municipality Südergellersen. In Heiligenthal there is a small chapel and the mill. The is now hotel and the inn with its terrace on the mill pond, invites you to linger.

    On historical grounds, the mill actually stands, even if the current mill building was built in 1950: Premonstratensian monks had built here at Hasenburger Bach mill, after they had built in this place in 1315 a monastery. After the Reformation she came in 1562 in the possession of the property Heiligenthal, to which she belonged until 1865. In contrast to many mills, the mill seems to have experienced an economic boom after the Second World War. The impressive, built in the so-called "home style" new construction of the mill already points to it. But since 1973, the mill farm was gradually converted into a catering business. First, a restaurant was set up on the opposite side of the street in the half-timbered barn on Mühlenteich. Finally, in 1981, the grinding operation ceased and the restaurant on the Mühlenteich was now occupied by a large ballroom and a number of hotel rooms in the mill building. Since 1998, however, the turbine has been turning and generating electricity.

          Gutskapelle Heiligenthal:

          Built on a foundling foundation brick chapel was built in 1568 for the first time.
          Inscribed inscribed in the walls are reminiscent of the donor, Anna von Möller, wife of the first landowner of Heiligenthal, and the renovations of 1837, 1922 and 1975.
          The artistically valuable work of an unknown master is the baptismal font created in 1665.
          Not known is the year of origin of the well proportioned pulpit altar.
