At the Bunthäuser point in Hamburg Wilhelmsburg / Moorwerder the Elbe begins to divide its course for one kilometer, in Norderelbe and Süderelbe. At the Bunthäuser Spitze itself, in 1914, the Beacon Bunthaus, a wooden lighthouse just seven meters high, was erected. It marked with a round fire (belt lens) the segregation of segregation and was put out of service in 1977. Today, a registered association takes care of the preservation of this gem on the initiative of the last Hamburger Stackmeister, which was restored on the occasion of the 800th Hamburg Harbor Birthday in 1989.
