Bohinj Cycle Route / Bohinjska kolesarska pot
The cycle route connecting the Lower and Upper Bohinj Valleys takes us past numerous natural and cultural attractions in Bohinj.
The beautiful cycle route through the Lower and Upper Bohinj Valleys will not disappoint. In the past, there were plans to build a railway in Bohinj connecting the two valleys, but the railway was never built. Following the original plans, a beautiful cycle route was built in Bohinj in 2011, winding along the left bank of the Sava Bohinjka River in the Lower Bohinj Valley and through the picturesque Alpine villages in the Upper Valley. Access points for the cycle route can be found in Bohinjska Bistrica, Brod, Pri Savica, Stara Fužina, Studor, and Srednja Vasa. The route is mostly paved and suitable for all types of bikes.
