A very special place to enjoy the sunset on a mild summer evening. The descent down to Bohrer is pure pleasure afterwards, the road is in top condition (03/2020) and the curves can be swung through very well with minimal use of the brakes. A little caution, however, at the valley station of the Schauinsland cable car, as there is a lot of traffic to be expected during the operating hours.

Great view of the 644 meter high Schönberg ⛰️ which is the highest elevation in the so-called Vorbergzone. This formed when the Upper Rhine Rift subsided and left fertile loess soil on the edge of the ditch.
