Small, cool seating near the Rudemsmännchen. A little further up the Salmsstraße is the wine restaurant of the same name "Zum Rudemsmännchen", where you can indulge yourself with nice service, delicious food and of course the good Moselle wine.

When people talk about the rudder man in Klüsserath, they mean a ghost that haunts the forest.
Many years ago, disputes arose between Klüsserath and Thörnich about the boundaries of the districts.
Each community claimed a certain part of the Rudemwald
belong to their district:
Since no agreement could be reached, the court should decide. Judgment should be made on the spot. Each party kept claiming: The forest belongs to us!
The mayor of Thörnich was most excited. He put his shoes on earth from Thörnich and put a ladle under his cap, and so he swore: So I was standing on earth from Thörnich and have the Creator over me, it is so true that the Rudemswald belongs to Thörnich!
The court was so impressed by these words that
Thörnich awarded the Rudemswald. But the deed cost the cunning fraudster dearly. To this day he has to walk around the Rudemswald as a ghost.
