On the Walldorf Storchenwiese in Gewann Röhrig, storks are again part of the landscape. In 2000 there were still corn and grain fields in this area. The city of Walldorf began to lease and buy the land and created the stork meadow and ponds as a food habitat. The nesting towers, which are eleven to twelve meters high, are visible from afar.
