The toll Alpine road in the Berchtesgaden Alps is located just a few kilometers outside of Salzburg. The initial ascent from Marktschellenberg can be combined with pleasant, quiet side roads. This side is also more scenic, offering not only beautiful views of the Berchtesgadener Land and the Watzmann, but also of the Hoher Göll, which is located right next to the Rossfeld.
Once you reach the top, you'll also have an incredibly beautiful view of the Untersberg, Salzburg, Hallein, Golling, and the Tennengebirge Mountains. On a clear day, you can even see the Dachstein.
